Lara Briden

Lara is a naturopathic doctor with more than 20 years of experience. She has a strong science background and first worked as a biologist at the University of Calgary, before going on to qualify from Toronto’s Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in 1997.

She runs a busy hormone clinic in Sydney, Australia, where she has treated thousands of women with hormonal conditions such as thyroid disease, PCOS, PMS, and endometriosis.

She is also the author of the bestselling book Period Repair Manual: Natural Treatment for Better Hormones and Better Periods


Rebecca Simmons, PHD

Rebecca Simmons, PhD, MPH is a Research Assistant Professor at the University of Utah in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Simmons directs the evaluation for the statewide contraceptive initiative, Family Planning Elevated, and works on other implementation research, including HER Salt Lake. Her research interests and expertise include fertility awareness-based methods, comprehensive contraceptive access, health technology, and implementation science.


Dale Mueller

Dale S.E. Mueller has been a Sex Educator at The Smitten Kitten since May of 2012. Dale's personal passion is lubricants, as they are a huge contributor to people’s sexual satisfaction and health, but many struggle to find lubricants without adverse effects. Dale has been compiling an extensive research project on personal lubricant ingredients, regulations, and interactions with the body since 2014. Dale has also expanded their research and expertise to include topics from STIs, Cancer Treatment & Sexual Function, Menopause, and Social Justice within Gynecology. Their research has also allowed them to educate locally in Minneapolis, MN, and present at multiple national conferences, contribute to Allison Moon’s Girl Sex 101, contribute to the lubricant information in Joan Price’s The Ultimate Guide to Sex After Fifty, and they have been interviewed as a Lube Expert on the Sexational Blog, VICE Magazine’s Blog, Refinery29, Tristan Taormino’s Sex Out Loud Radio Show, and the Sex Gets Real podcast.

Dr. Uchenna Ossai PT, DPT, WCS, CLT

Dr. Uchenna Ossai PT, DPT, WCS, CLT is assistant professor at University of Texas Dell Medical School for Department of Women's Health and manager of the pelvic health physical therapy program at UT Health Austin.  Uchenna completed her clinical doctorate in physical therapy at University of Illinois at Chicago and completed her residency in Women's Health and Movement Impairment Science at Washington University in St. Louis.  

Uchenna is an American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors, and Therapists (AASECT) certified Sexuality Counselor, and is one of only 5 physical therapists in the world with this designation.  She also serves in the role as adjunct faculty at the University of Michigan, School of Social Work for Sexual Health Certification Program. Her clinical and research interests include sexual dysfunction in marginalized populations, particularly women of color and the LGBTQ+ communities. Uchenna is also creator/founder of YouSeeLogic, a judgement-free social media and education platform dedicated to the sex education and empowerment of adults.
